What if a documentary could become a discipleship tool?

Over the past two years, a film crew has followed one of the largest Gospel-centered clean water outreaches in history as The Bucket Ministry worked to bring clean water and the hope of the Gospel to every household in Kibera, Kenya. The result is The Weight of Water, a feature documentary that tells a remarkable story of calling, obedience, suffering, fruit, leadership, and the transformative power of God at work through ordinary people.

A COMPANION BIBLE STUDY EXPERIENCE

As we prepare for a nationwide theatrical release and subsequent streaming distribution, we are developing a companion Bible study experience designed for churches, small groups, mission teams, and discipleship communities.

Our vision is to pair powerful 3-5 minute clips from the film with biblically rich studies written by trusted pastors and ministry leaders. Each study will explore themes woven throughout the documentary, including calling, obedience, suffering, fruit, and leadership.
